The Southern Queensland Country side is full of picturesque scenery and spectacular festivals. Here are just some of the Festival highlights in the second half of the year to expect:
Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers
When: September 18th – September 27th
What: This is the premier cultural party that features great food and wine, as well as a beautiful floral parade, all to celebrate the start of spring! Take time to experience the iconic Grand
Central Floral Parade and the Food and Wine Festival.
Bony Mountain Folk Festival
When: September 18th – September 20th
What: Set in the Australian bush, with a camp fire atmosphere the Bony Mountain Folk Festival is a unique Festival with live music, camping, food and a true blue aussie time.
Oktoberfest at Granite Belt Brewery
When: October 3rd – October 4th
What: Set in the Beer Hall at the Granite Belt Brewery its time to celebrate Oktoberfest with good food, great live music, dancing and most importantly Beer. It’s officially held on the long weekend in October. It Starts on Saturday morning and will run until Sunday Night.

Before you’re Queensland Holiday comes to an end there are many events and experiences while in the Southern Queensland Country area that are a ‘must see’.
Below we cover from the start of July the major events that are coming up for this year.
The Warwick Gold Cup Campdraft and Australian Championships Rodeo
When: October 19th – October 25th
What: The annual event that lasts a full week in October. Gathering horsemen and women from all around Australia for this premier campdrafting event. Also catch the Australian Professional Rodeo Associations National Finals, this is Australia’s oldest Rodeo.
Toowoomba Gemfest – Gem and Jewellery Show
When: October 24th
What: A must see event for the whole family. All indoors and in a hall where 25 gem traders come from North & Central Queensland and as far south as Sydney. This is a two day spectacle. You will also find 30-40 traders outside the hall. See a large range of jewellery, beads, pearls, opals, and gemstones. Great prices are on offer also!
Warwick’s Carols in the Park
When: December 20th
What: Wrapping up the year this is the event to bring along the family and friends to celebrate the festive season. This event features guest artists and great upcoming performers. There are many supporting charities and fundraising with great bites to eat
